Sage’s Pike & Musky offering is built for large, toothy critters that don’t mess around. These rods are durable, caster-friendly, and surprisingly intuitive for a predator series. The rod’s stout build allows anglers to easily throw a range of heavy intermediate or sinking lines and large flies. The Pike & Musky series also has a strong and powerful butt section for increased lifting power and long distance casting ability. One of the nice quirks of the series is that the rod comes with a Rio Pike/Musky WF F/I line - all you need is a reel!

Generation 5 Technology - Generation 5 Tech from Sage focuses on creating a rod that’s more responsive and livelier. Generation 5 combines proprietary graphite hoop and minimal glass scrim to decrease rod weight and increase responsiveness. The result of increased responsiveness is optimized casting control and more feel. This tech also contributes to rod durability and strength, traits that are important in a Pike/Musky rod.

Reel Seat

Uplocking w/Red Anodized Aluminum - The red anodized aluminum of the reel seat minimizes weathering and wear. The double uplocking component locks large reels in place. Overall, the reel seat on the Pike & Musky is quiet but functional.

Rod Tube

Olive Ballistic Cloth Rod & Reel Case - The Sage Pike & Musky comes with an olive rod tube to protect and store the rod when it’s not being used. Cloth rod tubes are a great mid-priced alternative to aluminum.

Warranty

The Sage Lifetime Warranty - Every new Sage rod, blank and Sage reel is covered by a lifetime, original owner warranty. One of the finest warranties in the business, it covers defects in materials or workmanship as well as rods that fail due to misuse, negligence, or normal wear-and-tear. Sage charges a $75 processing fee for the warranty.
